Welcome!

Sep 12 DL 300

Bon Dia and hello! Welcome to Cooking Circles! This page is part-blog and part-virtual library of the cooking network and celebration of Timor Leste that is Cooking Circles.

I'm Heidi - Founder & Coordinator of Cooking Circles, and a blogger, geographer and community development worker by background. I've been recording stories and collecting recipes from friends in Timor Leste since 2014, and have set up this online space to showcase Timorese food both within and outside of Timor and better connect Timorese and foreigners.

The blog has since evolved into a forum for food writing, plus events and networks that now include 350 women and girls in Canberra.

I hope you find something that inspires you on these pages. Be it a woman's story, a recipe, or a network to join. Bon appétit!
